At this period of showing love and celebration of Christmas, an NGO,Balm of Gilead:Help The Needy will be hosting hundreds of children in Isaga Orile,a town in Abeokuta North Local Government of Ogun state.
The group which primary objective is to act as “extension of God’s arm” to the poor,vulnerable , widows, downthrodens, senior citizens, and isolated members of the Society by showing them the love of Christ in various forms and propagating His gospel.
This act of kindness will start on Friday 24th of December by reaching out to widows and vunerables elders with foods,clothing’s and cash gift.
A guest Minister, Pastor Odunayo Akinbode of the Christ Chariots Ministry, will be there to preach the gospel of Christ, encourage them in the Lord and pray with the sick and those in need of divine intervention.
On Monday 27th of December,the medical arm of the foundation will provide primary health treatment to children and the elderly, giving medical advices and drugs at the venue.
The children Party will follow at noon with variety of activities ranging from games to Bible quizzes, dancing and show of talents etc. School supplies(like school bags, exercise books, writing materials etc.), shoes, clothes, toys, cookies, candies and various other gifts would be distributed after which everyone will wine and dine together.
The team said they are expecting more than 700 children,both in Isaga Orile and her neighbouring communities.
Their annual children Party have been used as a platform to preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, human dignity, and moral uprightness in the society.
Above all, they have shown love through their food and material gift over the years especially during the celebration of Christmas.
The group will welcome help from willing individuals so that it can keep up the good work.
