The Ogun State chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Ashiwaju Adedamola Adeshina has Commiserated with families, friends and the people of Oyo state over the death of Ex-Gov, Otunba Alao Christopher Akala, and Nigeria as a whole over the death of elder statesman,Chief Ernest Shonekan.
Ashiwaju Adeshina described the late Akala as a fine and committed politician who had the interest of the people at heart,and believed in the development of every part of Oyo State.
Similarly,he sympathized with the people of Ogun State and Nigeria over the death of an elder statesman and the former head of the defunct Interim National Government (ING), Chief Ernest Shonekan.
Chief Shonekan, an Egba born British trained lawyer and industrialist who headed the ING of between August 26 and November 17 1993, breathed his last in Lagos, early Tuesday at the age of 85.
Ashiwaju Adeshina said it is unfortunate that death took the two statemen at this critical time when their knowledge and experience will be needed in the leadership of the State.
He prayed that the Lord will grant their souls a peaceful rest, and the people they left behind the fortitude to bear the loss.
