The New Nigeria People’s Party in Ogun state have knocked the House of Assembly for lack of update on the comfirmed Commissioner of Justice, Ogungbade Olanrewaju who was unable to provide his NYSC discharged Certificate during his appearance at the house for screening.
In a letter addressed to the speaker of the House of Assembly,Rt. Hon Olakunle Oluomo, NNPP requested for an update referring to an affidavit signed and presented to the house by the Commissioner.
The letter made available to INFOLITE NEWS yesterday, personally signed by its state chairman, Comrade Olaposi Oginni stated that,”It is on record that during the screening exercise conducted by the Ogun State House of Assembly for the aforementioned as the nominee of the Governor for the exalted Position of Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, he was unable to produce his NYSÇ Discharged Certificate.
He later claimed, through an affidavit deposed on the 25th of November,2021 after the screening and confirmation exercise:
i. That he served at Lagos Island LG as a Youth Corp member.
ii. That his Primary Point of Assignment was with Ebun Olu – Adegboruwa Law firm in Igbosere, Lagos
iii That after passing out exercise in 2002, he was unable to get his NYSC Certificate because he was told that his Certificate has been transmitted back to the NYSC headquarters in Abuja.
iv. That he was subsequently issued ” TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERNED” by NYSC
vi. That the “TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERNED”was destroyed in a fire incident.
vii. That the Original NYSC Certificate is still at the NYSC headquarters in Abuja as reconfirmed by the 24th of November, 2021.
viii. That efforts are ongoing to retrieve the Original NYSC Certificate from the NYSC headquarters in Abuja.”
Comrade Oginni also posited that,”In the event of non availability of the NYSC discharged Certificate of Mr Ogungbe Olusina Olanrewaju till date, we hereby demand for a reversal of the Clearance and Confirmation of the aforementioned Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Ogun State pending the time he is ready to present and make available the NYSC Discharged Certificate that he claimed to have according to his Affidavit to the Ogun State House of Assembly. “
