When Hon Folawewo Fatiu Salami (FFS), former chairman transition committee, Ifo Local Government made his intention known to represent Ifo Constituency II,in the Ogun state House of Assembly in 2023, it was an answer to the call from friends, political associates and stakeholders in the constituency.
Below are some of the projects put in place during his few days in office.
~ Grading of over 85 roads across the two constituencies
~ A blocks of 3 classrooms at Z.I primary school Ishasi (Akute/Ajuwon Ward 6)
~ A block of 7 Bedrooms and reception at Maidan Primary Health CareCentre (Okearo/ Ibaragun/Robinyan Ward 7)
~ Rehabilitation of Olose Primary Health CareCentre, Borehole Water Scheme, Ifo (Ifo ward 3)
~ Construction of modernized Borehole Water Scheme at Oke-Nla, Primary Health CareCentre, Ifo (Ifo ward 2)
~ Construction of modernized Borehole Water Schemes at Olowofela village, (Sunren ward 9)
~ Construction and rehabilitation of Lisa Primary Health CareCentre (Ososun ward 8)
~ Construction of a block of 2 VIP toilet at Agbado District Comprehensive High School, Okearo. (Oke-Aro/Ibaragun Robinyan ward 7)
~ Construction of modernized (Borehole) Water Scheme and facilitation of 350 KVA transformer for people of Mawere (Isheri/Ojodu Ward 5)
~ Release of Health centre equipments to Temidire Health Centre (Oke-Aro/Ibaragun/Robinyan Ward 7)
~Conversion of Ifo Local Government perimeter fence to Shopping Complex, Ifo (Ifo ward 3).
~ Purchase and presentation of dozens of plastic chairs and megaphone to Ifo LGA pensioners at the Local Government secretariat complex
~ Sinking of borehole in Ifo Local Government Secretariat Complex.
~ Approved portion of land to Ifo Local Zonal Community Development Council to build their Secretariat.
~ Payment of end of year bonus to staff of the local government after 10years of none compliance
~ Reconstruction of a block of 3 classrooms at local government primary school, Akinsinde- (Ibogun Ward 11)
~ Reconstruction of a block of 3 classrooms at Community Nursery and Primary School, Orile-Ifo (Ifo Ward 3)
~ Initiation of construction of lock up shops at Idiorogbo through Developer as build Operate and Transfer (BOT) at 85% completion before leaving office (Okearo/Ibaragun/Robinyan ward 7)
~ Initiation of construction of Osolo, Olajumoke market which is still at documentation process as at the time of leaving office. (Akute/Ajuwon Ward 6)
Others also include; ~Facilitation of road alongside other leaders which are Reconstruction of Olusegun Osoba Road, Agbado (Agbado Ward 4)
~ Reconstruction of Denro-Ishashi Road, Ishashi (Akute-Ajuwon Ward 6).
Hon Salami has proved that Government can be nearer to the people beyond what many believed,with his ability to listen and respond to the needs of the people.
He has made the Prince Dapo Abiodun administration proud that he was and shall be a competent hand to trust.
FFS will represent Ifo Constituency II well in the state House of Assembly.
