A popular estate agent in Saraki community, Abeokuta South Local Government of Ogun State, Monday Agbebakun popularly known as MO have been sentenced to 5years in prison for defrauding multiple victims.
Agbebakun, a con housing agent was reported to have collected money fraudulently from several people as agent promising them houses, but failed with excuses.
The suspect was charged in February 2022 to Court 4,Isabo Abeokuta as he pleaded not guilty.
Agbebakun who did not show any remorse since the beginning of the trial, or options of settling out of court as proposed by one of his victims, will be spending 5 years behind bars.
The judgement gave him an option of paying a victim he defrauded his N260,000, and another victim N140,000. He is also expected to pay N30,000 fine to the Government of Ogun State.
As at the time of this report,the suspect is still cooling his feet at the Nigeria Correctional facility at Oba, Abeokuta Ogun State.
