Famous Ogun state grassroots politician and philanthropist, Hon Olujobi Ezekiel Fayoyin have received Outstanding Grassroots Politician of the year, and Sport Enthusiast in Abeokuta, the state capital.
Hon Fayoyin received the award yesterday after the final football match by the Irapada Youth Football Competition 17th edition, held at Obafemi Owode Primary School, Itabale Adigbe.
The politician who is the founder of JIM FC attended the event with some of the under 15 of the football club, along side the Ifo/Ewekoro House of Representative Candidate of African Democratic Congress (ADC)in the state, Hon Fumilola Florence Akinrinde.
The award was in appreciation of his constant youth engagement and grassroots development in sports and skill acquisition in the state.
Hon Fayoyin who was delighted with the gesture, appreciated the organizers calling on other stakeholders to invest on sport.
He said sport is a viable means to get the youth engaged, and build a peaceful society that we all desired.
