…says we lost an Amazon in Nigeria, Africa
The publisher of Infolitenews online, Mr Olamilekan Jaji have commiserated with the families, friends, associates and the entire people of Yoruba land on the death of the Iyalode of Yoruba land, Chief Mrs Alaba Lawson.
The death of Chief Mrs Lawson was announced few hours ago in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state by Media Adviser to the deceased Prince Dimeji Kayode-Adedeji on behalf of the family.
Mama Lawson passed on peacefully at the early hours of today at her private residence located in Quarry area of Abeokuta.
Mr Jaji described Mama Lawson as an Amazon of entrepreneurship and industrial development, not just in her society, but Africa at large.
He said, “we lost a great gem, an embodiment of knowledge and Trail Blazers in all she laid her hands on. She was an encourager of downtrodden and less privileged, who never belied in impossibility. She was a role model and hope to many families.”
The late women leader was the proprietress of Lawson Group of Schools established in 1977(Crèche, Pre-Nursery, Nursery, Primary, Junior School and College) and Past President of NACCIMA – 19th but 1st Female National President of Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines Agriculture (NACCIMA) 1st Female President Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FEWACCI).
Mama Lawson was Past Chairman, -Board of Governing Council, Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Ogun State (MAPOLY), Past President – Abeokuta Chamber of Commerce, Past President – Ogun Council of Chambers of Commerce, Past President –Odu’a Chambers of Commerce
Mr Jaji prayed for the family and all she left behind that the lord will grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable lost.
