A popular hotel in the city of Abeokuta, Ogun state, Paris Hotel and Suites was at the weekend stormed by the men of the Nigeria Police Force after a tip-off that some gay community were having a party at their VIP lounge.

The party became rowdy and participants took to their heels when the DJ announced to the organizers that security operatives were questioning the bouncers at the entrance.

The hotel management told the police that they were not aware that the clients were community of gay and lesbians, promising to provide information to track some of the suspects.

Hotel manager, John Adedoyin said one Bashiru Balogun a residence of Ijaye, in Abeokuta South Local Government of the state was a regular user of the hotel, alongside his friends.

He added that, “we have the details of Bashiru Balogun who hired the lounge for a private party. We never knew it was for such an abominable act of homosexuality. We shall provide information that will lead to his arrest and other members.”

The police have promised not to relent in fishing out members of the gay community in the city of Abeokuta and environs.

The police added that other hotels in and around Abeokuta will be visited to arrest any member of the gay community, calling on well meaning Nigerians to report any case of homosexuality in their communities.

Police have declared Bashiru Balogun, gay member who organized the party wanted, promised that the long hand of the law will soon get him.
