Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited has commenced an accelerated phase of infrastructure development along the Avenue Impact (AVI) Street within its Pelican Brief Estate, Kobape, connecting the area to the national electricity grid and installing closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and modern street lighting to enhance security and boost property value.
AVI Street, a distinct corridor within the estate, was designed to serve a growing community of upwardly mobile Nigerian professionals in the diaspora, particularly information technology experts, many of whom have invested heavily in Pelican Valley’s real estate offerings.
The ongoing installation of CCTV systems and street lights is intended to complement the rapid pace of construction and overall development already underway on the street, reinforcing the estate’s commitment to safety, functionality, and long-term value.
The Chief Executive Officer of Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, Ambassador (Dr) Babatunde Adeyemo, disclosed this on Tuesday evening during an on-the-spot inspection of projects within the estate.
According to Adeyemo, no fewer than 700 diaspora investors currently have interests in the Pelican Brief Estate, with over 100 buildings at various stages of construction.
“We have procured a multi-million-naira road compactor and commenced the delivery of stone-base materials in preparation for the laying of interlocking stones on our internal roads,” he said.
He explained that AVI Street was conceived following engagement with a group of United Kingdom-based IT professionals who discovered Pelican Valley online, invited him to their annual winter ball in the UK, and subsequently invested in the estate.
“Today, these investors have received their land and housing documentation, allocations, and approved building plans. Construction activities are ongoing not only on AVI Street but in other parts of the estate as well. This clearly demonstrates the power of globalisation,” Adeyemo added.
The CEO further reaffirmed the company’s commitment to supporting clients who intend to develop legally approved structures within its estates.
“Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited is always ready to assist clients who are prepared to build within the law. We have competent engineers and world-class consultants under our retainership overseeing all construction activities,” he said.
He also revealed that the company is prioritising environmental sustainability through tree retention on AVI Street and plans to embark on another round of extensive tree planting across the estate in the coming year.
