A philanthropist and social crusader in Abeokuta South Local Government, Hon Olanrenwaju Ariyibi has sent palliative materials to the damaged portion of roads from Ijaye to Iporo Ake.
Hon Ariyibi, a chieftain of All Progressive Congress, and Ogun state House of Assembly aspirant in Abeokuta South constituency, said it was part of his personal efforts to contribute to the wellbeing of the road users .
He said ,” it is just my support of Governor Dapo Abiodun administration as government can not do everything. It has nothing to do with my political ambition. I use the road regularly and I know how difficult it is, so putting palliative is a necessity to me personally.”
Accessing the level of acceptance by the people, Hon Ariyibi said,” the people are so happy and it gives the road a different outlook. It is my pleasure. I heard one of the residents saying that it will be difficult for anyone to drop refuse on the road as the palliative makes the road cleaner and beautiful. So the new outlook will make the community cleaner, there by having a healthier society .I am happy for that.”
One of the residents of Okejigbo, Mr Lateef Akinbiyi commended Hon Ariyibi for his efforts to provide palliative on the bad portion of the road, and other humanitarian services to Okejigbo-Ijaye community, praying that God will replenish him.
Another road user, Mr Chukwudi Okafor, a motor parts dealer along Okejigbo said the repair will enhance economy activities of business owners along the road. He appreciated Hon Ariyibi and his team for the good job.
