…promises more dividends of democracy
Famous grassroots politician and legislator in Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon Moroof Olatunji Salaudeen have empowered some selected members of his constituency.
The councilor representing Ward 9 in Abeokuta North Local Government made the kind gesture yesterday during the ward weekly meeting at Holy Trinity Primary School, Sabo Abeokuta.
The meeting was chaired by the local government leadership of the party, led by Alhaja Faidat Akintunde, who expressed utmost excitement, saying the gesture is a promise of grassroots development by the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
Hon Salaudeen said the gesture was to assure the people that governance at the grassroots can work with the support of each and every one. He said,” the empowerment is just a way of saying thank you for your support to the people of Ward 9 in Abeokuta North LG. The empowerment will go a long way to meet the economic needs of the people especially at this time. I believe this is just a tip of the iceberg, better days ahead.”
Three members of the Ward received grinding machine, and another received a wheelbarrow, shovels and head pan.

Idris Beita Laden expressed joy with the gesture, calling on other political stakeholders to join in making grassroots politics attractive to the people.
Mr Laden appreciated Hon Moroof Olatunji Salaudeen popularity known as MOS for his policy of inclusion and impressive representation of the people. He said he had proved himself as a good representative in a short time in office as a councilor representing the Ward.
