The Are-Ago of Isaga Orile Abeokuta, Aare Jide Taiwo has been honoured by His Imperial Majesty Oba Aremu Gbadebo, Alake of Egbaland as Aare Bagbaje of Egbaland meaning he who dines with the elders In Egbaland.

The new chieftancy title came three months after Aare Jide Taiwo received a chieftancy title from Isaga Orile as the Aare Ago of isaga Orile.

The new chieftancy title will hold on Saturday 21th of November 2020 at Ake Palace.

The honor came as his contribution towards improving the lives and welfare of the elderly in Abeokuta, Ogun State and Nigeria as a whole for over a decade.

He will be receiving the Chieftancy alongside his Wife, Erelu Moyosore Jide-Taiwo who is a successful technocrat and seat at the Managerial level of one of the foremost telecommunication companies in Nigeria.

Jide Taiwo hails from Isaga Orile in Abeokuta. He is a descendant of the Adeyemi Royal Family through his maternal lineage. The Adeyemi Royal Family are from the Olojunimu compound of Isado in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

He is the Executive Director of Senior Citizens Care Foundation (SCCF). This organisation was founded in 2004. SCCF solely cares for elderly people battling with various health challenges in Nigeria. SCCF provides screening which includes eye and other general screening, free drugs and glasses to thousands in rural areas across states of Nigeria. Some respected Nigerians have also been inducted through the foundation initiative as Ambassador for Rights and Care of Elderly in Nigeria, which includes presentation of Senior Citizenship certificate. Jide is also the Senior Speical Adviser on Strategic Alliances to Global Hepatitis Eradication, Nigeria Commission.

He obtained his work experience from the Insurance and Banking industry, before he resigned in 2009 to move on to greener pastures by setting up his own businesses known as Ocean and Cargo Limited and Jide Taiwo International Services LTD.

Jide believes in living a selfless life in a world and time where people focus on themselves.

His Philosophy is that “we can always share with others, no matter how big or small”.

Jide’s exceptional contribution towards the society has reflected through his limitless achievements. He is a Peace Ambassador to United Nation /IIFWP (2009), an associate member of International Federation on Ageing (2008) in Canada and a consultant to RECEWAPEC Cameroon(2007).

He has received several recognitions and awards both in Nigeria and Internationally for his contribution towards improving the care of Elderly in Nigeria.

His hobbies include Golf and other sports. He is an active member of Lagos Country Club and Abeokuta Golf Club.
