The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate in Ogun , Comrade Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has promised that his administration will be more committed to job creation, youth empowerment, and social security if elected.
Comrade Oguntoyinbo made this known at the weekend during a reception in his hometown of Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government, accompanied by NNPP state leaders and other public office contenders on the platform of the party.
He noted that Ogun state as a frontline State in South West deserved the best, and the people should enjoy the social security that such state is expected to provide. He added that his administration would ensure it spreads the best across sectors.
He also said aside infrastructural renewal which was a key agenda of the party, he would pursue job creation and youth empowerment with vigor especially at the border towns in Yewa axis of the state.
Comrade Oguntoyinbo explained that his team had already developed a marshall job creation scheme and it would be extensively implemented immediately after his election to office.
He noted that it would be complemented by an empowerment scheme focusing on personal skill development and job creation.
“We know that it is not everyone that would be interested in paid employment.
”For such people, our idea is empowerment programmes of shorter duration, but which will make them independent entrepreneurs,” he said.
According to him, the latter initiative would be implemented in collaboration with agencies and organisations that have already started discussions with his think tank top team, adding that the picture would become clearer shortly.
He said the schemes would reduce idleness on the path of women and youth, which will bring about crime reduction.
Comrade Oguntoyinbo told the Yewa people that NNPP had come to bring succour to them, even as it is obvious that they have been marginalized by past government.
