…Oba Prof Matemilola, Obasanjo, Amosun,others grace coronation
It was celebration and fanfare in Owu-Akinale, Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State, as Oba Oluseyi Adediran was officially crowned the Towulade of the community.
The coronation, attended by dignitaries including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, ex-Governor Ibikunle Amosun, and the Olowu of Owu, Oba Prof. Saka Matemilola, drew notable guests from politics, traditional institutions, and business.
Amosun described Owu-Akinale as strategic in Owu Kingdom’s history, praying that Oba Adediran’s reign would usher in unity, peace, and development. Similarly, Oba Matemilola commended the monarch for spearheading community projects, including the ongoing town hall, a police station, and a new health centre.
In his acceptance speech, Oba Adediran expressed gratitude to God, his family, and the Ogun State Government for supporting his ascension. He pledged loyalty to Governor Dapo Abiodun, whom he hailed as “Olori Omoba of Ogun State,” while outlining plans for education, healthcare, and social development.
He also praised his wife, Olori Oluwafolakemi Adediran, for championing the community’s Educational Trust Fund, designed to provide children with access to quality learning opportunities.
Other dignitaries at the ceremony included Juju music icon Chief Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi, business leaders, and community chiefs.
