…parents denied knowledge of son’s homosexuality
A 25 year old man who is a resident of Agbado, IFO Local Government area of Ogun state, have been declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force for homosexuality.
Busuyi Amos Aluko, was reported to be a member of an LGBT community, committed an abominable act that is against the law of the land.
Our correspondent who spoke with the suspect’s father on phone, Mr Lawson Aluko denied having prior knowledge of his son’s abominable act.
Mr Aluko explained that he was not in support of such act, but emphasized that his son has the right to his sexual privacy and orientation.
The suspect, who spoke to our correspondent in his hideout through telephone conversations, said the boys that reported him to the police wanted him to join their cult group which he refused.
According to him ,” Scorpion and Balo that reported me to the police for homosexuality are cultists who wanted me to join them. The persecution was because I refused to join them. I don’t deny my bisexual identity; which I am proud of, but I am not a cultist.”
He also disclosed that he may result to seek asylum in western countries because his safety is not guaranteed in his state and country.
A community leader, Chief Liadi Bello said the community will not allow such abominable act to strive among her people. He promised to hand over the suspect to security operatives anytime he is found.
