A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Abeokuta, Hon. Akeem Oluseye, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fasting period.
In a statement made available to journalists, Hon Oluseye, who is a Senior Special Assistant to Ogun State governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun congratulated Muslims for their spiritual devotion, discipline, and sacrifice observed throughout the holy month, noting that Ramadan represents a period of deep reflection, compassion, and renewed commitment to faith.
He urged adherents to sustain the virtues learned during the fasting period, particularly the values of love, generosity, and selflessness. According to him, these principles should not end with Ramadan but should be embraced as a continuous way of life for the betterment of society.
“Ramadan teaches us the importance of sharing, caring for one another, and living in peace. These are values we must carry forward in our daily lives to build a more united and harmonious community,” he said.
Oluseye further emphasized the need for peaceful coexistence among residents, regardless of religious or ethnic differences, stressing that love for humanity must remain paramount in fostering development and stability.
He also used the opportunity to call on residents of Abeokuta North and beyond to support the APC, urging eligible voters to come out en masse during the forthcoming general elections. He appealed to the electorate to vote responsibly and in the interest of sustained progress and good governance.
The APC chieftain expressed optimism that with collective support and commitment to unity, the society can achieve lasting peace and development.
