… promise to deliver Ogun from social and economic problems
A popular grassroot politician in Ogun West of All Progressives Congress(APC), Barrister Olubiyi Otegbeye have formally declared his intention to contest for the 2023 governorship election in the state.
Bar Otegbeye, Ex-Managing Director of Regency Alliance Insurance Plc and loyalist of former governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, made the declaration yesterday in Abeokuta the state capital before party leaders, stakeholders and party loyalists from all over the state.

The Yewa born APC chieftain, said he will be offering the unifying political leadership that the State urgently need, and what the party will be proud of when he is given the previledge to carry the party flag in the forthcoming election.
He added that,”my cardinal principles will centre on;
- Sincerity of purpose that will consistency in people oriented projects and statewide rural development.
- Honesty plus zero tolerance for wastage and corruption that will give our people access to opportunity.
- A capacity to understand and respond promptly to issues, so that our people can reach their potential.
- Courage and abiding faith that will inspire our confidence and party loyalty.”
The party chairman, Chief Derin Adebiyi appreciated the aspirant and his commitment to the party and the state at large. He said,it quite unwise for anyone to think that the position of governorship is not for any ethnic group.He added that it is time for Yewa to take the bull by the horn,and God willing, will be the next governor of the state.

Among dignitaries at the event was formal gubernatorial aspirant at the last election, Hon Adekunle Akinlade who came to honour the aspirant.
Hon Akinlade who is also an aspirant of the gubernatorial race, showed an high level of sportsmanship and political discipline with the focus that the next governor should come from Yewa part of the state.
