A terrible accident occurred this afternoon 1310hrs at old MRS Filling station along Italo, Ijebu-Ife Sagamu Benni Express way as a Ford SUV with registration number WW 630 XA ran into a stationary truck.
The three occupants of the car,a mother and her two daughters were confirmed dead,as the state of the driver was unknown after the accident. An eyewitness said the ugly event was due to overspeeding of the Ford SUV who lost control,and ran into a packed Dangote truck.
The dead had been taken to morgue of Gosheng Hospital at ijebu ife by FRSC, while TRACE and Police were at the scene to put the situation under control.
The vehicle involved had been taken to Ijebu Ife divisional police station.
At the time of this report, normalcy have returned to the scene of the accident as there is free flow of traffic inbound and outbound of ijebu ife along sagamu/Benin expressway.
