Drama as Aggrieved PDP Members disrupt River State Gov Nyesom Wike visit to Ogun

A mild drama erupted yesterday in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital during the visit of People’s Democratic Party ( PDP )presidential aspirant, Governor Nyesom Wike, when Hon Ladi Adebutu addressed the audience.

Hon Adebutu, a governorship aspirant and astute member of PDP in the state who laid claim to automatic governorship ticket of the party,was shouted down by aggrieved party members.
Earlier, the chairman of the party, Alhaji Sikirulai Ogundele while controlling the crowd was verbally attacked for his wrong leadership and selfish role in selection of delegates for the party primaries. It took the intervention of former governor of Ekiti State, Dr Ayo Fayose to bring the situation under control.
The event which brought the big wits in the national body of PDP to the state, was also attended by gubernatorial aspirants of Chief Segun Sowunmi, Hon Jimi Lawal, while Prof Bamgbose was absent.


Hon Adebutu, who had the support of some of the state executives of the party, with backing of former Vice President and many times Presidential aspirant of PDP,Alhaji Atiku Abubakar bsaid the party can only survive if the work in unity. He said each of the difference factions need each other to win the state for the party.

In his speech, the Presidential aspirant, Gov Nyesom Wike said the present administration have failed the nation,and he promised to bring back the lost glory of the country.

He said, “I wan to to entrust me with your vote as I will deliver to you the true dividend of democracy. I promise to end all insecurity and corruption that has put us as a nation in bad light. I have all it takes to be a true president that Nigerians deserve.”
