PRESS RELEASE
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Ogun State Command, had planned a massive deployment of its personnel across the nooks and crannies of the State during this Easter celebration as a regular routine to curb insecurity before, during and after the celebration.
The Corps is ready to deploy its professional and tactical teams such as: the Agro-Rangers, counterterrorist, Critical Infrastructure Protection Unit (CIPU), among others in forestalling the perpetration of crime during the festive period.
The State Commandant issued a strong directive to all Area Commanders, Divisional Officers and all other management teams during a recent management meeting in order to ensure that the people celebrate this season with no security breach particularly working in tandem with other sister agencies in ensuring a crime free Ogun State.
According to the State Commandant, Mr. Hammed Abodunrin, the people should also be ready to show consciousness about their security and to also report any criminal activities to the appropriate or nearby security agency for proper investigation.
Abodunrin warns that it would be uncalled for if people take laws into their hands and flagrantly believing in self help in checkmating issues of breach of security rather than approaching the necessary agents of government.
He wishes the christian community a peaceful celebration as they rejoice in this festive mood while also enjoining them to exhibit the ways of life of the Lord Jesus Christ.
