The Chairman Of Riders And Owners Of Motorcycles Organisation (ROMO) in Ogun State, Alhaji Olushola Rasaq Shotayo, has felicitated with Muslim faithfuls on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration, urging them to follow all government guidelines on Covid-19 amidst celebration.
In his Eid-el-kabir message through his media aide, Femi Akinlawon, Shotayo, also known as Sholebo said as the celebration signifies faithful and total submission to the will of Allah as demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim, it also call for totally submission to the constituted authority.
Shotayo equally appealed to Muslim communities in the state to be steadfast in their prayers and positively impact on their neighbours and the larger society.
While urging Muslim faithful and other residents of the state to continue praying for the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, the Chairman maintained that the prayer of the saints would bring success to the administration.
In his words ,”While we celebrate, let’s consider and stricly adhere to all government’s Covid-19 guidelines. As the governor has said, no gathering at Eid. Please let’s stay at home and worship.”
“God will always hear our prayers anywhere we pray. I want us to understand that governor Abiodun’s directive that there should be no gathering for prayer is not to deprive us of God’s blessing at this time but to prevent us from further spreading the pandemic”.
He also appealed to Muslim brothers and sisters to use the occasion to pray for the country’s quick recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.
Shotayo who pledged to ensure sanity among motorcycle riders in the state lauded the effort of religious leaders in the state for their efforts in ensuring the reopening of worship centres across the state.
