Former Transition Chairman Ifo local government, Hon Fola Salami has declared his interest to contest for Ifo II constituency Assembly seat.

Hon Salami made this declaration on Saturday after meeting with the executive members of four wards out of six that constitutes the constituency.

He came alongside with few of his supporters as they were ushered in by the executive members of Agbado, Isheri/Ojudu, Ajuwon/Akute and Oke Aro/ Ibaragun-Robiyan wards who were pleased to welcome him at the venue.

While addressing the ward executives, Hon Salami gave accounts of his sterling stewardship of when he was at tge helm of affairs of the LG for the period of 18 months. He also discussed his agendas with the members of the executives.

He assured them of qualitative representation, which will be backed by necessary oversight activities to ensure Ifo constituency II is not left out of good governance, and seeks for the support of all the executives in each of the wards.

The executive members, full of gratitude pledged their loyalty and allegiance to the emergence of Hon Salami as the party flag bearer in the forthcoming primary election towards 2023 poll.

They all advised Hon. Fola Salami not to renege on his promises and to also ensure that he’s for all groups or caucuses within the party.

The consultation is expected to continue with the two remaining wards in the constituency, where he will meet with the executives of the wards to intimate them about his manifesto, and also brief them on his scorecard while at the helm of affairs of the council.

Some of the party leaders present were : Secretary to Ifo Local Government, Hon. Idris Olamilekan Kushimo (Kush), Ogun APC Exco; Chief Taiwo, Ifo APC local government party chairman, Barr. Olumide Oduwole, Local government party executive; Hon. jimoh Tairu and Alhaji Elefonde, Hon. Jessica, Alhaji Bayonle Lasisi, Mrs Toyin Osifo, Mrs Ayinla, Baba Adio, Baba Onalaja, Comrade Kayode, Evangelist (Elder) Olawale.

Others include ward chairmen; Mr. Opeyemi Ayodabo (Agbado ward 4), Mr. Collins Anifowose (Isheri-Ojodu ward 5), Comrade Ajibola Kabiru (Ajuwon-Akute 6) and Mr. Adewale Tanimola (Okearo/Ibaragun/Robinyan ward 7) .

Riders and owners of Tricycle Organization (ROTO) state chairman, Comrade Ismail Olarenwaju Yusuf (MonYahShau) was also present to grace the occasion.
