The city of Abeokuta came to life at the weekend as popular Ogun State born business man and politician, Hon Ige Abayomi Olabode popularly known as ” BOD” was installed as the Babalaje of Panseke Market.
Presenting staff of office to the new Chief, the chairman of the occasion charged the new Babalaje that the position comes with lots of responsibilities and It is expected that he will succeed with his sense of maturity, respect for elders and diligence.
The events was graced by socialites and young entrepreneurs in Ogun state.
The Babalaje was also advised to use his office to ensure unity and prosperity of traders in the market irrespective of their ethnic background.
Leaders in the market said the choice of Chief Ige Abayomi Olabode for Babalaje was born out of acknowledging his steady contribution towards the development of Panseke Market, Abeokuta and it’s environs.
The events also featured the relaunch of BOD humanitarian foundation and the distribution of materials to the community.
Chief Ige Olabode, a graduate of Computer Science is the Chief Executive Officer of BOD computers and car security technology, BOD properties as well as Bodcom banking services.
He has contributed in no small measure to the growth and development of his immediate community.
