The Abeokuta Branch of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has announced its readiness to partner with leading real estate firm, Pelican Valley Nigeria Limited, in a joint effort to promote a more sustainable and enabling society for both citizens and businesses.
The association revealed that after conducting an independent background assessment on Pelican Valley and its Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador (Dr.) Babatunde Adeyemo, it found both the company and its founder to be of exemplary reputation and professional integrity.
This was disclosed on Friday by Barr. Biola Adesanya, who led the NBA Abeokuta 2025 Dinner Planning Committee on a courtesy visit to Adeyemo at The Podium, the corporate office of Pelican Valley located within the Pelican Valley Estate, Laderin, Abeokuta.
The delegation also included Ms. Motolani Oyedeji, Mr. Gabriel Agboola, Mr. Adeleke Peter, Ms. Grace Oganiji, and Ms. Juliet Odey Adinya—members and executives of the NBA Abeokuta Branch.
Adesanya noted that the committee was particularly impressed by the level of innovation and operational excellence reflected in the Pelican Valley Estate. He added that the recommendation from within the NBA to collaborate with Adeyemo further attests to his “good antecedents.”
He described it as remarkable that Adeyemo has successfully run his real estate enterprise for over 15 years without any litigation or bank indebtedness—an uncommon achievement in the industry which, according to him, “deserves accolades and recognition.”
Adesanya emphasized that a prudent business leader strives to resolve disputes amicably, as litigation can “cripple a business or keep it in abeyance.”
Also speaking, Ms. Motolani Oyedeji expressed optimism about the proposed collaboration, noting that the NBA Abeokuta Branch looks forward to a long-term relationship with Pelican Valley.
“We conducted our checks and were impressed by the recommendation. You are someone we can work with and entrust with clients, knowing they will be in safe hands. We believe the partnership will be mutually beneficial, not just for this year but for years to come,” she said.
In his response, Ambassador Babatunde Adeyemo thanked the delegation for their confidence in him and the Pelican Valley brand. The former broadcast journalist turned real estate developer reaffirmed that his mission in the industry is to reshape its narrative through integrity, diligence, and quality service delivery.
Adeyemo welcomed the proposed partnership and pledged to support the NBA Abeokuta Branch in its various initiatives, including this year’s end-of-year dinner themed “African Grandeurs – The ’80s.”
