As part of the Commandant General affirmation for his unwavered promise to enhance the performance of the Corps Personnel to attain a very brilliant place in the committee of Security of Agencies in the country. The Provost Marshal of the Corps, DCC Babatunde Stephen Kolawole paid official working visit to Zone ‘F’ Command Headquarters, Oke Mosan , Abeokuta.

The Provost Marshal and his team was formally welcomed by the Zonal commander, NSCDC Zone ‘F’ , ACG Shem Sunday Obafaiye, CC Kolawole Taiwo, Commandant Ogun State Command, Provost, College of Security Management, CC Racheal Awosusi fsi, and Commandant Akibo Olusola, 2ic Zone ‘F’.

The Zonal Commander said the Commandant General, CG Ahmed Abubakar Audi, Phd, mni had always at any given opportunity, maintained that training and retraining of officers is very important to meet up with modern day global practice in security management. The aforementioned statement masterminded the training and sensitization programme brought to the doorstep of Provosts through the Zonal Commands. He appealed to them to be very attentive all through the programme because he is certain they will be going back with more knowledge.

Deputy Commander of Corps, DCC Babatunde Stephen Kolawole (Provost Marshal) confirming the statement of the Zonal Commander emphasised that the purpose of visit is to train and educate Provost officers on modern day technique in the enforcement, protection of law, and prevention of crime. He also highlighted that government responsiveness to the yearning of Nigerians in the areas of security and law enforcement can not be ignored by NSCDC and the Provost unit in particular.

He stated further that the present rating the public is giving the Corps now require that Provost exhibit adequate Proffessionlism, demonstrate undiluted professional knowledge and show high level discipline in the discharge of their official daily duties.

In the welcome address of the Zonal Provost, SC Atanda Sheriff, he said that the sensitization programme is borne out of the need to reposition the Corps Provost officers in the discharge of their duties particularly in areas of internal policing roles, law enforcement mainly on regimentation, and instill maintenance of discipline within the Corps.

Proper dressing,human relations, orderly room trial, Standard Operational Procedure were part of the major area the sensitization programme touched.

Provosts from Zone F ,College of Security Management,Ogun State Command, Oyo State Command and Liaison Office Ibadan attended the training.
