The chairman, transition Committee, obafemi owode Local Government, Hon. Mustapha Abdul Fatai, has praised the Governor of Ogun state, His Excellency,Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR, for his tremendous and selfless services which have brought positive impacts across the twenty Local Governments, in the State.
Hon Mustapha, who commended the Governor’s visionary leadership qualities, and approach to infrastructural development, in the LG Area, particularly, the rehabilitation of road from interchange to Abeokuta, among others, assured the people to expect more of dividends of democracy, which would reach the farmers, youth, market men and women, living in the LG Area.
He declared this recently at St.Peter’s Anglican Pry. School Siun, in Obafemi Owode LG Area, while welcoming the Governor, ably represented by the Hon. Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Afuape Afolabi, to the commissioning ceremony.
The chairman, finally appreciated Governor Abiodun, for the trust reposed in him, by giving him the opportunity to serve his people at the grassroots.
Hon.Afuape, expressed Governor Abiodun’s delight at Hon. Mustapha, and members of the LG Transition Committee landmark achievements, within the short time of administering the LG, despite the various challenges facing the entire nation.
The Govornor’s representative, Hon. Afuape Afolabi, on behalf of Prince Dapo Abiodun, appreciated the people of Obafemi Owode Local Government, for their overwhelming support, during the last general elections, and, therefore, emphasised the commitment of the State Government, towards restoring the lost glory of the Local Government Administration, in the State, as important foundation for developmental goals of all the three segments of governance, with effective feedback system.
The senior special Adviser to the Governor, on political matters, Hon.Tunji Egbetokun ,thanked all the people of Obafemi Owode, for their unalloyed support, with an assurance that, the State Government would soon commence work on Ajebo Road, and other linking roads, as demanded by the people.
The projects commissioned were: a block of two classrooms, with headteacher ‘s office, and a store, at St.Peter’s Anglican Pry. School, Siun, Owode; a block of two classrooms, with headteacher ‘s office, and a store, at Community primary school, Oyebola village, via Ajebo town; Rehabilitation of Adedero Health Clinic along Kobape,Owode.
Dignitaries at the event included, Mr Kola Fagbohun, the permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Directors from the Ministry, Special Adviser to Governor, Mr.Yemi Adelani ,Royal fathers in the Local Government, Area, Political appointees, as well as the management staff, headed by Mr.Olusegun Ogunjobi.
