The people of Obafemi Owode local government earlier this week celebrated the Ogunsola led Administration of the council for various achievements within 2YEARS in office.
The Chairman, Ambassador Ogunsola Lanre Adesina used the occasion to meet with major stakeholders, community leaders, religion leaders of the LG in commemoration of the two Years in office
The meeting which was held at Obafemi-Owode Egba City Hall today while the Council Chairman, Ambassador Ogunsola appreciated all the people of the Local Government for their immense support and cooperation to serve them.
“Today marks 730 days as the Chairman of the Local Government, this has not been my efforts but your undiluted support and trust entrusted to me to provide services that will promote the the LGA”, Amb. Ogunsola narrated.
He added that,” upon the recent achievements in the LG, government is continuum and it is an ongoing process. Amb. Ogunsola however stated that, “with the remaining Months ahead of our expiration of tenure,we shall embark on programs and policies that are people-oriented which would leave no one or any part of the Local Government behind. No doubt, all these efforts are meant to ensure that we run a government of transparency and equity tailored in line with the slogan of IGBEGA IPINLE OGUN, AJOSE GBOGBO WA NI O.”
Speaking with journalists at the council secretariat, Ambassador Ogunsola said his administration was able to make, “extensive renovations in various part of the LG including my office and that of the Vice Chairman. We have on going reconstruction and modernization of Obafemi Owode viewing Centre and main registry. We also have a renovated conference room, and installation of solar lights in the LG secretariat. We also provided borehole at Alapako, Owode EGBA, Fidiwo, Akiode.”
While commenting on security, the LG boss said the council with the support of all security agencies are doing all possible to make sure the people of the LG sleep with their eye closed. He said though security is a national problem, emphasized that the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun is proactive on the issue of security in the state.
