Ogun State House of Assembly today passed  a resolution resolving the leadership crisis within the Igede Community arising from the election of  their leader- Ad’ Igede 1 of Ogun State.

The resolution of the crisis climaxed in a House resolution during the plenary presided over by Speaker Olakunle Oluomo at the Assembly Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta following the presentation of the report of the House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs by its Chairman, Hon. Bolanle Ajayi. 

 Hon. Ajayi later moved the motion for the adoption of the report, seconded by Hon. Abdul Bashir Oladunjoye and supported by the Whole House through a unanimous voice vote.

Consequently, the Majority Leader Yusuf Sheriff later moved the motion for the report to be adopted as a resolution of the House of Assembly,  seconded by Hon. Yusuf Adejojo and unanimously supported by other lawmakers.

 The Speaker therefore appealed to them to continue to promote peaceful co-existence within their host communities in all parts of the State.
