The Ogun State House of Assembly have replied a letter sent by a leading opposition party, New Nigeria People’s Party demanding the discharged certificate of the Attorney General of the state, Mr Oluwasina Ogungbade.
The reply dated 14th of February,signed by Yemayinse Hokon, Director of Committee,for Clerk of the House/Head of Legislative Service, acknowledged that the Attorney General indeed forwarded a Letter of Reference issued by the Lagos state Secretariat of the NYSC, dated 27th of March,2004 to the house in respect of the discharged Certificate.
The house stated that it acted based on the Letter of Reference by NYSC, which stated that ,”he should be accorded all the previledge of Corp Member,who has been duly discharged from the National Service.”
The response of the house explained that the Letter of Reference, was sufficient for the screening exercise, subsequently directed NNPP to contact NYSC for more information on the issue.
The chairman of NNPP in the state, Comrade Oginni Olaposi Sunday have commended the leadership of the Ogun State House of Assembly,led by Rt Hon Olakunle Oluomo for his noble act of responding to the issue.
Comrade Oginni however urged the house to investigate the true state of the attorney general discharged certificate beyond the letter of reference,as the people desire to know.
