The senatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Ogun East Senatorial District, Otunba Adewale Adenaike has promised the people of his constituency the credible change they desire.
He made the promise yesterday during his campaign flag off at Oyingbo in Ijebu Ode, calling on the people to get involved in the political process.
Otunba Adenaike said,” SDP is known as incorruptible party that will always champion the well-being of the people, as far the days of Chief MKO Abiola. I believe that people should not be living in scarcity, amidst plenty. The people have given us their word and support as you can see today, because they are tired of deception and neglect. We are in the race for victory, and we are going to win this election.”
The leading grassroots politician assured the people that,” I will bring people driven representation when I get to the senate. I’m going to the senate to do what the people want, to give them the true representation. There will be a monthly town hall meetings to know the needs of the people and how to meet such needs. It’s going to be different this time. It’s not going to be about us, but about the people.”
Otunba Adenaike announced that SDP is determined to take the campaign to the doors of electorates, giving them reasons why they should reject the present leadership that have neglected them for years.
He said,” this is an opportunity to rewrite our story, and change our present situation by going to the poll to vote for all SDP candidates. We are set to give the people true governance. As you are aware of our YESS agenda, we will empower the youth, not with rice and dodo, but with something that will help them to be self reliant. This will reduce the level of criminality in our society.”
