The Ogun state chairman of Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Asiwaju Adedamola Adeshina has felicitated with Christian faithful in the state and nation at large on the occasion of this year Christmas celebration.
In a statement made available to INFOLITE NEWS this morning, he said: Christmas is a special time of the year when Christians across the world celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. U
He stated that Christmas is the time when families and friends from all parts of the world gather together to reaffirm those special human ties “that bind us together”.
Asiwaju Adedamola disclosed that Christmas is not just a time to think of family and friends alone, but also those who are less fortunate, with a view to make positive impact in their lives and on the society at large.
He said Nigerian as a people have every reason to be grateful to God for how far he has kept us despite the economic, health and social challenges during the years.
He also called on political leaders to use this period to show love and abhor hate speeches, or ethical differences as we look up to another general election soon.
Asiwaju added that,” As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, I enjoin all to imbibe and demonstrate the essence of the season of love, make extra efforts to live in peace and harmony with our respective neighbours, irrespective of religious or political differences.This is the period to show our humanity and not political differences. Let us celebrate in moderation and in compliance to all the Covid 19 rules.”
He also enjoined the people to be security conscious during this period,as he prayed that, “the divine lights of Christmas shines on our lives as we celebrate.”
