…call for safety on our roads
The Ogun state gubernatorial candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party, Comrade Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo have commiserated with the residences of Matogun, Olambe, Okearo area of Ifo local government of the state over the unfortunate fire incident at the early hours of yesterday.
The inferno was caused by a fallen truck, laden with 33,000 liters of premium motor spirit (PMS) popularly known as petrol in the early hours of yesterday that resulted to loss of properties in the community.
Comrade Oguntoyinbo called on motorists, especially truck drivers to always obey the traffic rules and drive safely to avoid such occurrence.
He said the safety on the road should be the concern of all, calling on the government in power to look into the ugly state of our roads in that axis,as a major cause of road accidents.
He emphasized that when the roads are in good shape, it will reduce the level of accidents in our society.
Comrade Oguntoyinbo appreciated all security agencies whose prompt role was key to prevention of further damages, and safety of other properties in the vicinity.
He expressed his heartfelt sympathy to the people in the area who lost their properties and means of livelihood to the fire outbreak.
