Ogun State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has assured the Management of IBEDC Ogun region of their continuous support and security of its installations and assets in the state.
The Ogun State NSCDC boss, Commandant David Ojelabi in company of other principal officers of the state command stated this during his courtesy visit to the management of the company after resuming as the new Commandant in the state.
The Regional Head of IBEDC Ogun region Engr. Abdulrasaq Jimoh while welcoming the new commandant, lamented that energy theft, vandalism, assaults and other vices are major setbacks mitigating the performance and productivity of the company, which in turn is affecting the development of the state. He however seek for more improved synergy with the command.
The Commandant in his response assured that the command would leave no stone unturned to bring the perpetrators of energy theft and vandalism to book. “NSCDC will keep arresting those people, to serve as deterrent to those engaging in criminal infractions such as vandalism, meter bypass, illegal connection, load diversion and others”.
He urged members of the public to be part of the continuing efforts aimed at safeguarding critical national assets in their neighbourhood by reporting the activities of vandals and saboteurs to nearest NSCDC office in their environment.
