Otunba Adewale Adenaike, Senatorial Candidate for Ogun East Senatorial District under the auspices of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) has urged Nigerians not to despair in spite of the myriad of challenges the country is currently passing through.

Rather than despair and loose hope, Otunba Adenaike said Nigerians should see the current experience as the period that will usher in a more stable and progressive era in the history of the country.

Otunba Adenaike gave the advice in his 2022 Sallah message to Muslim faithfuls and all Nigerians.

According to the Senatorial Candidate, who is widely expected to be the next Senator of Ogun East come 2023, nations, like individuals, pass through challenges that in some instances make them ask very tough questions, just as Nigerians are currently doing. “But the beauty of it, however, is that it is the answers from  these tough questions that will give birth to the Nigeria of our dream, the Nigeria that we can all be proud of”.

Otunba Adenaike said further that the Eid El Kabir, which is being celebrated globally by our Muslim faithfuls, is a festival of sacrifice which tested the faith of Prophet Muhammad, in Almighty Allah, just as the faith of Nigerians is being tested by the challenges. The current situation, he said, calls for sacrifice from every citizen.

On the 2023 elections, Otunba Adenaike said every lover of Nigeria and Ogun East Senatorial District must get his PVC and exercise the right to choose their leaders. “There are few significant things that human beings have the right to do. One of them is the right to choose who leads them. With the elections around the corner and the effort of INEC to ensure that the elections are free and fair, every eligible voter must ensure that he/she gets his voters card ready for this very crucial exercise”.

He admonished all Nigerians to celebrate wisely and safely.
