Rere Foundation for Progress and Development yesterday distributed Sewn School Uniforms and Sandals to primary school pupils.
The distribution was done as it’s commitment to the lives of the community dwellers at Ijebu Ife area of the local government.
The first set of beneficiaries were selected in 2019 from two public primary schools in Ijebu Imusin area of the local government.
In a statement signed by the CEO of the foundation, Barr. Oluwasegun Adesanya, the Foundation’s philosophy is that economic conditions should not prevent children from attaining their goals.
He said,”At Rere foundation, we strongly believe that our children’s aspiration should not be limited by economic conditions.
“Education remains the most potent, honourable and sustainable way of breaking the cycle of poverty and we are committed to helping as many as we can in their quest to attain this”.
He called on well meaning individuals and organizations to assist those in need, and expressed his foundation’s commitment to supporting different groups.
“It is important that individuals and organizations complement government’s effort by contributing their quota to easing the burdens of our people; we choose to do this through Rere foundation for progress and development Education Fund.”He added.
It will be recalled that Rere foundation had, in October 2021, while commemorating the 3rd Year anniversary promised to reach out to the pupils, and the promise was fulfilled with the materials distributed.
