Construction work is making steady progress on the ongoing road project in Ogbeere, Ijebu East Local Government Area, as the Ogun State Government continues its drive to improve infrastructure across the state.
The project, being executed under the administration of Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, has recorded significant milestones with contractors actively carrying out critical stages of road construction.
Current activities on site include the spreading and compaction of stone base materials near the Ijebu East Local Government Headquarters. The work is aimed at strengthening the road foundation in preparation for subsequent construction phases.
As part of the asphalt paving process, contractors are also spraying MC-1 prime coat along Chainage 4+000, opposite the General Hospital, Ogbeere. The prime coat serves as a bonding layer designed to enhance the durability and performance of the asphalt surface.
In another major development, the laying and compaction of the Asphaltic Concrete Course is currently underway opposite the General Hospital, marking a significant step toward the completion of the project.
The road intervention forms part of the Ogun State Government’s broader commitment to improving transportation infrastructure, enhancing connectivity between communities, facilitating economic activities, and improving the quality of life for residents.
According to project officials, work is progressing according to schedule, with contractors maintaining momentum to ensure the successful delivery of the road project.
The Ogbeere corridor project is one of several infrastructure initiatives being undertaken by the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration as part of efforts to promote sustainable development and strengthen the state’s road network.
