The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Polytechnics (SSANIP) Ogun State Council, sent its heartfelt appreciation to the state governor Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON, for the timely appointment of Arc. Dr. Adekoyejo Babatunde Jolaoso as the 10th substantive Rector of MAPOLY.
This was made known through a release today jointly signed by the council Chairman Comrade Tunde Abiodun and the Secretary, Olumide Abiodun
The release stated that, “This decision, guided by merit and fairness, reflects the Governor’s unwavering commitment to excellence and the continuous advancement of education in Ogun State.
The appointment of Arc. Dr. Jolaoso is a testimony to the emphasis placed on competence, integrity, and adherence to the 2019 Polytechnic (Amendment) Act during the selection process. Governor Abiodun has once again demonstrated his understanding of the critical role leadership plays in shaping the future of academic institutions. By appointing a Rector with proven integrity and track record of success, His Excellency has laid the foundation for a new era of stability, innovation, and growth at the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.
We therefore commend the his sensitivity to the concerns and aspirations of the unions in the Polytechnic, who consistently emphasized the importance of a merit-based selection process. This decision has not only aligned with our collective call but also reinforced the trust and confidence of Staff and stakeholders in the leadership of Ogun State.
The promptness of this appointment has ensured continuity and prevented disruptions in the institution’s administrative and academic activities. This proactive approach demonstrates the government’s understanding of the unique challenges facing polytechnic education and its determination to address them effectively.”
