One of the suspended staffs of Sikiru Adetona College of Education, Omu Ijebu, Mr Seyi Akinola have appealed to the state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun to revisit the issue that led to his suspension and some others few years back.
Mr Akinola, in the open letter expressed displeasure over the injustice meted out to him by the government of Ogun state, led by His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun.
He said,” it will be recalled that the Governor invited us over the crisis at the then TASCE to find a political solution to the labour crisis in Sept 2019. Unfortunately we were arrested, charged to court, spent some days at Ibara Correctional centre before all bail was secured. Three years down the lane, we are under suspension and nothing is forthcoming yet those that are close to this government claimed Governor Dapo Abiodun MFR is not aware of our plight. ThIs is hard to believe.”
He however appealed to the well meaning people of Ogun State and Nigeria to call the attention of the Governor to their plight, pointing to the invitation to his office, laid the foundation of his arrest and few others
Mr Akinola passionately emphasized that,”We have faced lots of untold hardship and persecution. I have suffered for an offence not committed.
I appeal to the Governor to use this Easter period to look into our matter and allow justice to prevail.”
