Sequel to the address made by Ogun State Government on Friday, June 19, 2020 on her efforts so far in combating the Coronavirus pandemic in the state, Hon. Akeem Oluseye popularly known as HAO has commended the State Government, frontline health workers and security agencies on their efforts and sacrifices so far.

This was contained in a press statement the Chairmanship Aspirant made available to news men on Friday.

Hon Oluseye said the address of the governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has clearly show that the state has performed outstandingly in curtailing the spread of the disease.

“Ogun State as the gateway state has made unprecedented achievements since the outbreak of this virus towards ensuring our people are safe.

“I really commend the efforts of our Amiable governor for his dogedness leadership traits and visionary ability since the outbreak of the virus and for the measures he has put in place towards figthing it. Also our frontline health workers who has been putting their lives on risk to sustain other people’s lives. You are indeed our heroes.

“I also appreciate our security agencies who have been working round the clock in enforcing laws within the State and also in guarding our borders in restricting enteries from neighbouring States and countries.

“There is no doubt that our borders are porous, but they are still making every possibilities in securing them to avoid people coming in with the virus from neighbouring countries and states”

In the address, the governor noted that community transmission is on the increase Inspite of the government spirited efforts in creating awareness about the deadly virus. The governor reiterated that, the compliance level of the people is still very much below expectation.

In addition, Hon Oluseye appealed to the people to always act in compliance with government guidelines outlined in curtailing the spread of the deadly virus.
