The Ogun State Chairman of Riders and Owners of Motorcycles Organization (ROMO), Alhaji Olushola Abdul Rasaq Shotayo popularly known as SHOLEBO, has charged all members of ROMO across Ogun state to be law abiding citizens and shun any illegal vices that might be detrimental to the reputation of the organization.

This was contained in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Abeokuta.

Sholebo as he is popularly called warned that any member of Riders and Owners of Motorcycles Organization (ROMO) found breaching the law in the State shall be dealt with appropriately.

Sholebo, commended the relentless efforts of His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR led administration in the fight against the spread and curtail COVID-19 pandemic in Ogun state.

He also urged all residents in the state to follow the lockdown directives as provided by the State Government which included the preventive measures against the Virus which are washing of hands for at least 20 seconds, use of hand sanitizer, and compulsory use of the face mask and maintaining social distancing.

Sotayo also advised the ROMO members to adhere to the directive of State Government which stated an Okada rider must not carry more than one passenger at a trip.

He said, “I want to use this medium to urge our members to adhere strictly to the guidelines of the government in carrying of one passengers per motorcycle and the use of facemasks.

“We as a union will not tolerate any form of defiance from our members. Strict actions will be taken on any members that fail to follow these simple guidelines.

“Being safe, wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing is for our own good. Together we can win the war against COVID-19.”
