Pelican Valley Nigeria Ltd has made a major stride in the international real estate market with the official handover of its eco-friendly Ecostay Apartments to UK-based diaspora investors. The milestone was marked at the 10th anniversary celebration of Avenue Impact (AVI), held on Saturday, July 5 in London.
During the event, the CEO of Pelican Valley, Amb. (Dr.) Babatunde Adeyemo, presented property documents and house keys to Mrs. Dolapo Olowe, one of the first UK-based subscribers to the Ecostay Apartments. The handover represents a growing confidence among Nigerians in the diaspora in Pelican’s integrity-driven property offerings.
Dr. Adeyemo used the occasion not only to celebrate the delivery but also to promote further investment opportunities in Nigeria’s booming real estate sector. According to him, over 800 Nigerians abroad, including 48 AVI members, have already invested in Pelican Valley projects—acquiring plots and homes within just 18 months.
The event drew a host of dignitaries, including representatives of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), the Nigeria in Diaspora Organisation (NiDO UK South), and top UK-based professionals. Notable attendees included Hon. Abdulrahman Abba Terab, NiDCOM Director of Technology & Innovation; Mrs. Najiyat Okeniyi, a senior UK civil servant; and Rev. Busola Ogunlowo, wife of the Ogun State Commissioner of Police.
Mrs. Olowe, a single mother and now a Pelican Valley brand ambassador, shared her journey, crediting AVI for her breakthrough and praising Dr. Adeyemo’s transparency.
“I invested in Pelican Valley because of the integrity I saw in Dr. Adeyemo,” she said. “Despite never meeting him before, I was convinced after my parents visited the site in Nigeria. He proved to be a man of his word. If I can do it, others can too.”
The CEO of Avenue Impact, Mr. Funsho Akinwunmi, applauded Pelican Valley’s collaboration with AVI, noting that many of its members have already seen substantial returns—with some investments nearly doubling in under two years.
“Dr. Adeyemo delivered on every promise,” said Funsho. “This partnership has deepened trust in our community and created a sustainable path to wealth for many in the diaspora.”
Dr. Adeyemo previously featured at AVI’s Business Networking and Winter Ball in 2024, showcasing Pelican Valley’s projects, which include Ecostay Apartments and other eco-conscious developments back in Nigeria.
With this latest handover in the UK, Pelican Valley continues its mission to bridge the gap between diaspora wealth and Nigerian real estate opportunities—boosting not just investor confidence but also foreign exchange inflows to Nigeria.
