The Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun Mfr has written to the State House of Assembly on the extension of the transition committee of the local government.
The governor’s letter was read few hours ago by the Speaker Rt Hon Olakunle Oluomo during the plenary.
The local government transition committee have spent six months in office,as this will be the second time that their tenure will be extended since they came on board.
We reported earlier that the process of the local government election which supposed to be conducted by Ogun State Electoral Commission have not started in the state.
When this request is granted,the Committee will be spending 9months in office if election is not conducted within the period.
The agitation to have a free and fair election at the local government is not only high among the contestants,it is the desire of the people at the grassroots.
