A 28years old man in Agbara area of Ado-Odo Otta LG of Ogun state was paraded today for allegedly rape a lady few weeks ago.
The suspect , Goddey Robinson took advantage of the victim because she had earlier refused his sexual advances.He accosted her at the early hours of the day when the victim was returning from work where she did night shift.
While parading the suspect and other 36 others for various offenses,the commissioner of police,Ogun State Command, Kenneth Ebrimson said the state will not accommodate criminals and for every crime, the hand of the law will surely get them.
“The suspect was apprehended by our men at Agbara area of Ado-Odo Otta LG of the state after a long search.He accosted the victim at an isolated area and had canal knowledge of her .He strangulated the victim after the rape Until the victim lost consciousness.”
The police boss added that the victim was later helped by passers-by,but she is still bed ridden at the Igbobi Orthopedic Hospital,Lagos. The victim is presently been treated for spinal cord injury.
He also added that the suspect will be arraigned in court very soon.
