NCF ENGAGES BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST TO BOOST ITS TEAM

The Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), the foremost environmental NGO dedicated to nature conservation and biodiversity resources management has engaged a seasoned business development expert to lead its Business Development and Communications team.
Mr. Uchenna Chika Achunine was the Executive Director, Centre for Memories (CFM) in Enugu where he provided strong leadership for the Centre that focused on documenting and promoting Igbo memories, culture, history and excellence.
As a former Executive Secretary of The Bridge Leadership Foundation (TBLF), based in Calabar, he successfully developed and led a 5-year repositioning and growth strategy of the NGO within the broad context of the local, national & international landscape.

Achunine who could be tagged as Prof. Pat Utomi’s protégé, having spent over a decade with the Centre for Values in Leadership (CVL) in Lagos, is a certified social sector manager, and a product of the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of the Pan Atlantic University, who is skilled in programme design and development, with over 13 years of experience in project and people management, social innovation, policy leadership and budgeting, public awareness and advanced advocacy, knowledge development and exchange, livelihood and social inclusion, as well as resource mobilization for organizational sustainability.

He is resilient and innovative, an advocate for the application of best practice in corporate social responsibility (CSR) and community development engagement with special interest and skills in negotiation, community engagement and advocacy. He is a youth enthusiast with very strong penchant for meeting people and adding value to lives and special burden to bring succor to as many as possible through social work and community development activities.

It is believed that his addition will impact the Foundation positively and bring a great turn around in NCF’s stakeholders’ engagement, developing new opportunities, building and expanding the presence of the organization locally and globally.
