Nestle Nigeria Plc has organized a day workshop for 54 Public Primary School teachers who will continue to implement its initiative of Nestle for Healthier Kids (N4HK) that was launched in Nigeria in May 2018.

The workshop was flagged off by Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary and Secondary Education, Mrs. Ronke Soyombo at Edwin Hall, Olorombo, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Special Adviser in her goodwill message, appreciated the Prince Dapo Abiodun MFR led administration for placing a premium on the wellbeing of young children and commended Nestle Nigeria Plc for its unflinching support to public primary school pupils particularly encouraging healthy extra -curricular activities such as the International Chef’s Day, Quiz Competition, Teachers Award, Project interventions among others.

Mrs. Soyombo on behalf of the State Government assured the organizers of Nestle for Healthier Kids (N4HK) and the entire management of Nestle Nigeria Plc of the State Government consistent commitment and collaboration on N4HK and other programmes that will improve the healthy living Standard of School Children in the State.

She urged the participants to pay rapt attention to the lessons of the workshop and show maximum commitment towards implementation of the training objective in their respective schools.

In his goodwill message, the Board Secretary, Ogun SUBEB, Mr. Olalekan Kuye who was represented by the Director, Education Quality Assurance, Mrs Jokotade Agbatiogun appreciated the Nestle Nigeria Plc and disclosed that this workshop is timely, most especially now that our schools are reopened after some months lockdown due to covid-19 pandemic and the N4HK programme will ensure that children take adequate diet and other precautionary measures that will enhance their healthy life style and boost strong immunity in them against all kind of diseases.

Earlier, in her welcoming address, the Corporate Communication and Public Affairs Manager, Nestle Nigeria Plc, Mrs. Edidiong Peters expressed delight and appreciated Ogun State Government and Ogun SUBEB for the sustained partnership over the years in ensuring the success of the N4HK programme. She informed the gathering that the workshop is to equip all teachers with the necessary information and knowledge required to ensure successful implementation of the in-class teaching.

Mrs. Peters while appreciating the teachers that have been on the programme over the years, encouraged all teachers and headteachers to make this workshop an effective and engaging learning experience.
