Ogun Majority leader, Sheriff, donates School Buses to constituents

Education has been described as the premise of progress in any community.

Member representing Ado-Odo-Ota Constituency One in the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon Sherif Yusuf stated this while presenting three luxurious Buses he acquired to ease transportation challenges of Students in his Constituency.

Sherif, who is also the Majority leader of the state legislature, explained that the vehicles were part of his dream to boost attendance and general enrolment at schools.

“I have had this dream since 2011 while I was Chairman of this local government but I thank God for making it a reality today”

” I want to use this medium to appreciate the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun for aloting 20% of the State’s budget to Education this year” Hon Sheriff noted.

He assured that the present administration in the state was determined to take education to an enviable height promising that the lawmakers were ready to complement efforts to improve the education standards of the Gateway state.

Speaking at the event, Speaker, Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Olakunle Oluomo requested the support of the constituents in order to maintain the buses.

He appealed that the vehicles should not be used for any other purpose except educational matters, which they were bought for.

The event was witnessed by a representative of the Deputy Governor, Mr Sesan Fagbayi, the Olota of Ota, Oba (Prof) Abdulkabeer Obalanlege, Senator Akin Odunsi, leaders and members of the APC in Ogun West Senatorial district, representatives of ANCOPPS, N.U.T, Zonal Education Officer, Ado-Odo-Ota, as well as students of various schools in the Constituency.
