The respected monarch in Oyo State, the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Adetunji, has joined his ancestors, at a prime age of 93.

The late monarch who was the 41st Olubadan of Ibadan following his coronation on March 4, 2016, died few hours ago at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, Oyo State after a brief illness.

Oba Adetunji was the Balogun of Ibadan land before he came to the throne of his forefathers, and his reign was peaceful though short.

Oyo State also lost a prominent royal father recently, Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Jimoh Oyewunmi precisely 22 days ago.
