The chairman of Pelican Valley & Brief Estates, Babatunde Adeyemo was today honoured by the European-American University in Lagos.
Mr Adeyemo,a successful Real Estate Manager was awarded a Doctor of Science, Honoris Causa (D. Sc. Hons), in Business Management and Corporate Governance by the university at a ceremony held in Lagos.
Adeyemo,in his remark,stated that education remains the most important thing in life, promising that Pelican Valley Estate, would support young people to achieve their educational dream.
He urged the University to avail itself of the conducive and peaceful business environment of Ogun state and establish a campus in this part of Nigeria, pledging his readiness to facilitate land for building the campus in Ogun, which is known as the education capital of the country.
The prestigious European-American University is a global institution without walls. It was established in 2003 to offer educational opportunities for adults who desire a more flexible alternative to the traditional university system.
The Real Estate Manager was honoured for his recognition of his outstanding achievements and contributions to the socio-economic development of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
In addition,he was also appreciated for his outstanding business acumen and philanthropic gestures in the education industry.
Adeyemo who was so delighted with the award, appreciated the university for the honour bestowed on him, declaring that he remained committed to the development of real estate industry and the overall development of Nigeria’s economy.
He also urged other recipients of awards of EAU to ensure that they organise an annual reunion, where they would come together and brainstorm on various socio-economic challenges confronting the country with a view to finding lasting solutions.
