Socialite and grassroots politician, Asiwaju Adedamola Adesina yesterday in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital was awarded with an honorary doctorate degree by British American University.

Dr Adedamola, former chairman of Ogun State Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) was so exited at the event, appreciated God for the achievement.

While speaking with press men immediately after the event, Dr Adedamola said the doctorate degree is long overdue having his master’s degree in politics a long time.

He called on the government to see to the lingering crisis in the educational sector, especially in relation to their agreement with the stakeholders.

Dr Adedamola responding to the question of education being free in Nigeria, he noted that the government can make education free if wastage is cut down and the right people come to position of leadership.

He said ,”you can imagine now that we are about to change our Naira note, so many people are coming out with so many unused notes that are mutilated and thrown to the bin, because they don’t want to be caught pant down. People in position of leadership are very wasteful in this country, that is why they make the people believe that education can not be free. We have all the resources, if it is channel to the right direction, education can be free.”
