An educationist and child developer, Ogun state Candidate of Social Democratic Party(SDP) in Odeda state constituency, Dr Lawrence Holumidey has promised good governance when elected to the state House of Assembly .
Dr Holumidey made this known at the weekend when he met with the key members of Jobby International Movement (JIM) at their secretariat in Abeokuta Ogun state capital.
The grassroots politician and social advocate said the zeal to serve brought him into mainstream politics, with his track record as an education administrator, and social crusader.
He said if elected to represent the good people of Odeda local government, it will bring a turnaround to the community in governmental presence and social infrastructures.
In his remark, the convener of JIM, Hon Olujobi Fayoyin said Dr Holumidey has taken a giant step to change the narrative of governance, and people oriented representation, with his various achievements as proprietor of the famous Paragon International College in Ogun State.
He added that the movement will provide necessary support for his emergence, and encouraging more young people to come into politics.
Hon Fayoyin emphasized that,” if we take back seat in political affairs because we have some bad people in position of authority, we should not complain of bad government. It’s our responsibility to do our best to see that the right people are elected into various political offices. We shall do all possible to make such dream a reality.”
